Isn’t it April yet? Edition

Parents it has come to that point in the year where we forget that we aren’t supposed to put our hands on one another.  Please remind your student, as I have been doing, to keep themselves to themselves.  I noticed that several of you have logged onto Class Dojo, the new accountability system we’re using for behavior.  It’s really pretty cool, students can earn points for good behavior and parents can see those and “dings” that often don’t get reported in their conduct folder.

Thompson Class News

We had a wonderful field trip!  The students behaved marvelously at the theatre and had a blast at the park.  Thank you to all those who attended/helped out, especially those of you I didn’t get to thank in person.  You are appreciated more than you know!  We received pencils last week, but are still in need of glue sticks if you can make it to the store this week we would surely be thankful.  Ask your student if they have scissors, we have been working with the extras I bought at the beginning of the year, but now those have disappeared too!

Thompson Class News Mar. 17, 2014

What a week it was!  Friday is our fieldtrip.  Parents if you’ve paid plan to meet us here at 8:30 downstairs in the foyer.  Your students may bring a sack lunch from home, we’ll keep them all together until it’s time to eat.  If you need a lunch from the cafeteria, please let me know ASAP.  Parents we are need of more pencils and glue sticks if you find yourself at the store sometime this week would you please gift us some.

Week of March 4th

Thompson Class News Mar. 4

Can you believe this crazy weather? The week before SPRING Break we’re still bitterly cold.  Today we had our Reading Checkpoints. Ask your student how they did.  Tomorrow will be our Math Checkpoint.  Please make sure they have time for breakfast and get plenty of sleep tonight.  We’ll have spring pictures this Thursday.  These are the ones you pay for AFTER you get them.  This week we are also having a fundraiser for Mesquite Social Services. We are asking for dollars (and cents) to go to them to help with costs on food, clothing and other things they provide to those in need right here in Mesquite.
