Thompson Class News Nov. 18, 2013
Parents don’t forget to come join us for our first family night, Wednesday from 4:30-6:00.  Remember next week we will break for Thanksgiving on Tuesday. We won’t have class again until the following Monday.  Next week we will only be tutoring on Monday.  I will be mailing off the book order on Friday.  It’s not too late to get your orders in!

Please remember we have early release this Wednesday at 11:55.  Next Wednesday the 20th we will have a parent night from 4:30-6:00.  Come and see what we’re working on in second grade.  Your student will show you what work we do in stations. We’ll have games and light snacks.  Hope to see you then.  I am sending home info about another project for home, I even put the due date on it this time J.  We have checkpoint testing on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Thursday report cards will come home.

What great pumpkin reports we got!  Thanks to those of you who got them in on time.  The end of the six weeks is this Friday, so you have a few more days to get them in the grade book.  This week we are raising a dollar to make a difference for Mesquite Social Services holiday drive. We are also participating in a contest held by our student council to see who can raise the most items for their pantry.  Second grade is asked to bring jelly, the contest ends Friday.
